ASUU election violators fined by Judiciary Twenty two University students who appeared before the Associated Associ-ated Students of the University of Utah (ASUU) Judiciary Thursday Thurs-day were charged for ASUU election elec-tion rule violations. Those who ran in the elections deposited $13 to be used toward fines for election violations. The students who have been found guilty by the Judiciary will have their fines deducted and the remainder re-mainder of their deposit returned. Harris Vincent's charges for having illegal possession of an election baDot were dropped. He said the ballot was turned in to him by a fraternity brother who at the time of voting had asked for a computer card ballot and then was ushered into a voting booth. A Judiciary member said that he had seen the student turn the ballot over to Harris. Harris said, "my clear intention in waving the card in front of the election committee was to stop the use of the cards; if a person requested a card they could also be ushered into the booth and vote twice as the student who kept the card could have done." Walt Klinger's case was postponed post-poned until April 30th because he requested that he be represented by counsel. Mark Hertig, Grover Thompson, Thomp-son, and Mary Shepherd were each charged one dollar for placing plac-ing signs in areas without "well esatblished grass." Fined two dollars for late primary pri-mary campaign expenditures lists were Rich Higgins, Todd Hayes, Judy Finlinson, Falko Freeman, Randy Buchmiller, Mary Shepherd, Shep-herd, Barry Ruhlander and Jeff Brown.
