Show Baseball team moves to 7-0 The Utah baseball team swept three games over the weekend to run its pre-WAC record to 7-0. The Utes downed Westminster, 18-1, Friday, and swept a doubleheader With Weber State, 2-0 and 17-1 Saturday. The games were held at Municipal Park. The Parsons were limited to one extra base hit, as the Utes exploded ex-ploded for nine runs in the third inning to put the game away. Utes Dee Russell and Dave Wichman hit home runs in the contest. Utah scored its two runs against Weber State in the fifth inning. In the second game the Wildcats Wild-cats were limited to five hits, and Utah scored nine runs in the fifth inning to run away with the game. |
