Show Redskin wrestlers await WAC after a winning season I The Redskin wrestling team will meet in Albuquerque, N.M. March 14 and 15 for the Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Tournament and is a good bet to capture second place. But Head Coach Marv Hess thinks his Utes have a good chance to take it all. The eight-team tournament will include Utah, Brigham Young, I Colorado State, Texas-El Paso, j Arizona, Arizona State, Wyoming and New Mexico. Defending ! champion Brigham Young is ! favored, and Utah and Wyoming I are figured to be a close match for ; second place. The Utes will be going into the ' WAC contest with an 11-3-2 ' overall dual meet record. They I have defeated every team in the I conference except BYU and have ; decisioned such non-conference ; powers as Portland State and ' Minnesota. The loss to Brigham Young was by only one point, 15-14, and Coach Hess feels his grapplers have a chance to beat the favored Cougars. "We've had .better, records in past seasons," said Coach Hess, "but the competition wasn't as strong as it was this year. This is one of our best teams." Two big reasons for the Redskins's success this season are Steve Roshek and Ron Lemmon. Roshek, one of two team co-captains, is undefeated in 15 matches this year. With a 12-0-3 individual mark, he is the only undefeated member of the Ute squad. Lemmon, at 13-2-1, leads the team in number of wins. He is considered by Coach Hess to be one of the most consistant performers on the squad. Coach Hess has decided to take " the following wrestlers to the WAC tournament.
