Observe the colors of nature pumpkin, rust, pine, straw, wheat, and chocolate and incorporate them into your wardrobe. Fashions for a football game carry over the harvest hues. Fabrics? Fab-rics? Nothing flimsy for this year's coed. The heavier the wool, the starchier the shirt, the thicker and "plusher" the sweater, the more fashionable the fabric. Number-one fabric designs are tweeds, glen plaids, and scotch plaids, but solids still rank high, as shown by Cathy. Knee sox are a necessity ... to be worn with swinging pleats, A-lines, A-lines, and bermudas. Tapered pants are taboo. Only stovepipes will do.
