MORGAN picked up victories in the 100-yard dash, 200 and led both the mile relay and 440 relay re-lay teams to victory. Twelve new stadium records, six new dua! meet records and a Weber State school mark fell in the afternoon after-noon meet. Utah swept the discus, high hurdles, high jump and 220 and won both relays in wracking up dual victory number two. HUGH Voorhees, Chuck Schuch, Scott Etnyre, Doug Wells and Taylor Williams all had fine days with strong show-1 show-1 ings in two events. Voorhees j won the 330 Intermediate hur-i hur-i dies and placed second in the ! highs. Schuch picked up a first ! in the two-mile and second in ! the mile while Etnyre grabbed first in the triple jump and third in the high. Freshman Richard Farmer led the sweep in the high jump with a 6-6 jump. Bill DeVries placed second. Strongman Doug Wells copped the shot with a 51-1 1 put and also scored points in the discus. NEXT Saturday in Ute Stadium Sta-dium the nation's two top hurdlers, hur-dlers, Jerry Cerulla of Utah State, NCAA indoor champion, and Al Rockwell of BYU, who beat Cerulla two weeks ago, will again clash in the featured event of the triangular meet between |
