Show History Professor Presents Lecture Dr. C. Gregory Crampton, University Uni-versity professor of history, editor ed-itor of "American West" magazine mag-azine and author of the highly successful book "Standing Up Country" will give a public lecture lect-ure on the University campus today, in connection with National Nat-ional Library Week. THE LECTURE will be held in the Union Building Theatre at 8 p.m. A display will be set up there showing the evolution of Dr. Crampton's book., from research re-search notes to publication. In his lecture, he will describe the process of writing a book and the problems in getting it published. MR. RALPH THOMSON, director di-rector of University Libraries, said other displays would be set up around the campus in observance ob-servance of Library Week. Mr. Thomson urged students on the University campus to be especially aware during this week of the fine library facility facil-ity they have at their disposal. THE UNIVERSITY library, which houses more than a million mil-lion pieces of material, is recognized rec-ognized as one of the finest research re-search libraries in the United States. Among its most famous collections col-lections is the Middle East group which has been acclaimed by officials of Middle Eastern cou-tries cou-tries as "one of the world's best collections." |
