Spring Charity Drive Approaches Climax The Ute Charity Drive is swinging into full force this week in an attempt to reach their $2,000 goal by Wednesday night. SO THAT all University students stu-dents may be reached, classroom solicitation will be conducted Monday and Tuesday in the night classes and at the 8:50 a.m. hour on Wednesday. Also, additional booths have been set up in the Music Hall and the Dorms and ticket sales will continue at the Huddle Ticket Booth, Orson Spencer Hall and the Library. AT THESE booths contributions contribu-tions may be made and information informa-tion booklets can be obtained. A dollar contribution will entitle students and faculty to attend the Charity Concert which will climax the drive Wednesday night. The event which is scheduled for 8:30 p.m. in the Union Ballroom, Ball-room, will feature top local entertainment en-tertainment and a hilarious faculty fac-ulty skit with Paul Banham, J. D. Williams, Ray Nagel, Shirley Ririe, Charles H. Monson and Ray Doran. Keith Engar will be Master of Ceremonies for the concert. SEATS WILL be on a first-come, first-come, first-serve basis. All contributions and proceeds from the concert will go to the World University Service, the United Negro College Fund, and the Cancer Researech Bureau on the University campus. FUNDS DISTRIBUTED to the Cancer Research Bureau will be used right here at the University. Univer-sity. Students are strongly urged to support this year's charity drive as it is the only such drive on the University campus. |
