Show Fieldhouse Proposal Fails llUIJi I S.UsLkUiUJHHi,) s:f , ' I 1'-JCciai2jT- -"- Nickle Analyzes Athletics The architects plan for the new Fieldhouse and adjoining stadium was recently handed to the administration and promptly rejected on the statement of Bent Nickle, head of finance, who said that the new plans encompass far more than had been planned by the University. HE WAS quoted as saying: "It seems quite reasonable that due to adjustments in the schedule of the planned construction and the emphasis now being placed on the academic rather than those who occupy a space in the kingdom of athletical brother- hood; in addition to the new procedures pro-cedures now being followed with regards to the phase nine of underground un-derground building centered around the Annex; not to mention men-tion further lack of interest by the campus police department in giving tickets in an effort to finance this construction; plan is too far advance for the cultural cul-tural surroundings." "But we have," Mr. Nickle proceeded, "began construction on the play ground, which will provide marble rings and hop scotch facilities." He indicated to the people that his plan he found as being "quite Charming." |
