Show Old Soldier MacArthur Loses Battle T ASSOCIATED PROS General of the lArmy Douglas MacArthur, dramatic hero of three wars, slipped out of a deep sleep into death Sunday, succumbing suc-cumbing at last to the effects of three operations within 24 days and miriad of complications. complica-tions.
