Show Active Miss Is Special Spur Arnel Burris, a sophomore mathematics math-ematics and music theory major, was chosen Spur of the Month at the weekly Spur meeting Wednes- day- , x. MISS BURRIS served many hours on Spur projects during the month of October. She assisted with Welcome Wel-come Week, ushered at University plays, sold dance tickets and was a hostess for Alumni Reunions and a Foreign Students get-acquainted party. Other Spur activities included helping build the Cowboy for the "Cowboy Cremation," and adapting and directing . a Ute skit for the Regional III Spurs Convention. She has also helped with elections, the Convention entertainment committee, commit-tee, and the Activities Rodeo. AMONG HER campus activities are Alpha Lambda Delta, freshmen women's honorary and the Associated Associ-ated Women's Students Council, where she is chairman of the foreign for-eign students program. She has a 3.7 average. She was an early admissions ad-missions student, and a graduate of Jordan High School. A STUDENT in the Honors Program, Pro-gram, she was chosen one of the 25 top freshmen math students of last year. She was recently tapped as a pledge for Mu Phi Epsilon, professional women's music soror-itv. |
