Show Mexican Purchase of I Utah Cattle Delayed Purchase by Mexico of cattle in Utah, announced recently by Utah's congressional candidates as having been approved, has been delayed pending approval of special emergency freight rates, according to Edward S. Crawford, of the Utah Cattlemen's Cattle-men's Association. Mexican purchasing agents are now making surveys in Arizona Ari-zona and Texas to determine if sufficient numbers of cattle are available there, and are reluctant re-luctant to purchase in Utah because be-cause of the higher freight rate. However, Mr. Crawford said, it appears that special drought : emergency freight rates will be granted, and it is possible that Mexican purchasing agents maybe may-be interested in cows 4 years ' old and under, some time in the ; 'future. 1 Beaver County cattlemen are I advised, by the state association, that they "should not base their I operations on a sale (to Mexico) in the immediate future." |
