Show Tiri mi i fc llMIIHHlH v r iJ m, By STEV WILLIAMS Here's a verse That ain't so funny: Too much month -- At the end of the money! Sec where the U S Supreme Court turned down Brack Lee's request for top-level hearing on whether .under the Constitution the federal government can give away taxpayers' money. Too bad! Brack was fighting a fight for all of us little guys who DON'T believe in paying taxes to foreign nations ain't that what it amounts to? His resentment is shared by millions of Americans, and one tiling we should all start watching watch-ing awfully close, is how our Washington delegations vote on foreign give-aways. We'd like to particularly call the attention o'l our readers to an address made in Beaver and Milford by Utah's American Legion Le-gion Commander Parley Jensen, Jen-sen, on Veterans Day. It's published in another column col-umn of this issue, and is well worth the 15 minutes' reading time. An egotist is usually me-deep '-i' in conversation. Almost forgot to remind our readers again about the Odd Fellows Caravan scheduled for Saturday in Milford. Starts at 6:30, with lots of food, and all Odd Fellows, Rebekahs, Junior Odd Fellows and their friends are invited. TV Jackson Is getting worried wor-ried about his son says the youngster spends all his spare time reading books! ' The Milford High Lettermen's Club did right well on their deer hides, with 74 contributed skins selling for $103.60, and Coach Lee Pettcy says they still have a few more hides to pick up. The money will be added to a football field bleacher fund, and with revenues from their basketball programs, they hope to have at least $300 to ' turn over to the bleacher fund in the spring. That- Lettermen's Club has been a good thing for Milford High. They are responsible for the lighted football field, plan now to erect bleachers at the field, and they have put over other worthy projects at the school. Maybe the yearbook staff might find room for a little special spe-cial recognition of Lettermen's Club activities. Jackie Williams, "sponsoring nurse" for the Nurse-Ettes, called to ask us to thank all the folks who made food purchases from the junior Nightingales at their bake sale last week. The young ladies took in $40, and plan to spend it for hospital '- supplies. And Jackie's thanks also to the blood donors, and the volunteer vol-unteer workers who helped oul on rounding up donors and with the work at the church during the time the blood bank -was here. Milford fell short of theii quota again, but Red Cross officials offi-cials were pleaded with the 8 pints of badly needed whole blood they received in Milford ,i.
