Show 'Letters for Gronning' Starts Notes to State's Sportsmen The "Letters for Gronning" campaign in Beaver County took on added impetus this week when local Gronning supporters learned that campaign cam-paign supporters of Congressman Congress-man Dixon were circulating letters let-ters to sportsmen's groups in which Dixon was lauded as "a great sportsman." "Our candidal, Gronning, is an 'outdoors' sportsman, and lias never been labeled an 'armchair' 'arm-chair' sportsman by anyone," said Mayor Ray Kizer, one of the local Gronning boosters, "and ever since he's been old enough to carry a gun he has joined the group of real sportsmen sports-men of the county, going after his deer and pheasant and ducks." In addition to being an ardent sportsman, Mayor Kizer said, Mr. Gronning is a believer believ-er in conservation of our wildlife, wild-life, and in "equitable" control con-trol of our big game herds. He urged sportsmen to join the "Letters for Gronning" movement, and submit names of friends, at the Beaver County Coun-ty Clinic, to whom they wish letters mailed. |
