Show P.-T. A. NOTES We were very disappointed with the attendance at our first Parent-Teacher meeting, held during the first week of October. Octo-ber. We feel that this is one of the most important school meetings during our school year. This is the opportunity that you parents have to become acquainted with the school program pro-gram in which your child is participating, to have this program pro-gram explanied to you and to have your questions answered concerning any part of the j school curriculum. Approximate figures point out that 47 of our students were represented by parent attendance. at-tendance. We feel that this is poor support of the other 53 of the children in their school efforts. Many social functions seem to take precedence over attendance at school functions. May we remind you that this is the most important period in your child's life as far as academic aca-demic learning is concerned, and that you as parents axe a : very important and vital cog in his attitude toward learning. Therefore you should understand under-stand what his school program is, what we expect of him, how he stands in his group and what you might do as parents to help him. We regret that some parents did not receive their notice of this meeting, due to their children's chil-dren's negligence. However, this percent is small. Education needs support and understanding of parents. Let's get back of it and push. RICHARD L. BELL, Principal. i i |
