Show LOCAL JAYCEES TO GET CHARTER SATURDAY NIGHT Ted Anderson of Salt Lake City, national Jaycee director, direct-or, will lead a group of upstate up-state Jaycees to Milford for the local club's charter presentation pres-entation and installation banquet ban-quet Saturday night. The Milford group is the 50th Jaycee club to be chartered in Utah, and delegates from Salt Lake, Ogden, Beaver, Delta and Cedar City clubs have made reservations for the banquet. A roast turkey dinner will be served, catered by the Hong Kong Cafe, in the I O O F hall. Bob Case, state Jaycee director direct-or from Cedar City, sponsoring club, has arranged the installation instal-lation program, and Ted Christensen, Chris-tensen, Milford president, will be master of ceremonies. Warren Johnson is vice president pres-ident of the Milford club, W. L. Snelson, secretary, and Sheldon Seltzer and Dr. D. A. Symond, directors. Other charter members mem-bers include Kent Hanney, John Easton, Bob Davis, Roland Fowlcs, Gordon Murdock, Lu-Dean Lu-Dean Barnes, C. N. Terry, Bob Slinkcrd, Bruce Fotheringham, Ronald Gale, Don Holbrook, Dan Blake, Dr. L. E. Walker, Maurice Root Dick Fisher and Lorraine Gillins. Assocate members are Normal Nor-mal Baxter, Babe Ruth, Dr. E. N. Davie and Steve Williams. FLY SPRAY UNDER WAY Committee reports at the regular meeting held Tuesday evening show the 'fly spray program is well under way, with many Milford residences already having received their first insect spraying. The Clean-Up committee is completing arrangements for their face-lifting on the east Main street alley, and the little league softball group reports more applications for team memberships than the rosters can accommodate. Other business included naming nam-ing of Norman Baxter to a slate-sponsored slate-sponsored shade tree commission, commis-sion, andDr. Walker to a newly formed Milford Coordinating Committee. Babe Ruth, Dick Fisher and Steve Williams were named to a combination Highways-Lehman Caves committee, to work in cooperation with an Ely, Nevada, committee to further publicize Lehman Caves and promote better highways in this area. |
