After the judging at the swimming pool, where the young ladies were measured, the winners were announced at the start of the race meet, and all the contestants appeared be-1 be-1 fore race fans and congratulat-j congratulat-j cd the winners, j It was a "very successful" ' 49cr celebration, according to Ray Walker, general chairman, and hard-working Legionnaires and celebrants alike enjoyed the annual affair. A truck breakdown delayed start of the parade, but Dave Morris, parade chairman, was congratulated by scores of citi-1 zens for having arranged an ex-1 ceptionally fine caravan of. in- teresting and unusual floats. Winners in the adult division were the Lady Firemen with 22 points, Hong Kong Cafe, 21Vij points, and Lady Trainmen, 18 points. Judging was by three disinterested visitors from Las Vegas. In the junior division, win-I win-I ners were the Snelsen girls, the Davy Crockett entry of the I Dave Erick,son children, and the Farrell Lish children entry.
