Show I. N. NOLDER LAID TO REST IN MINERSVILLE Funeral services were held ! Wednesday afternoon in the 1 Minersville L D S Chapel for j Isaac Newton Nolder, 88, who I died at 3:40 p. m. Sunday in the Anderson Ranch Convalescent Home. Mr. Nolder had been ill for several years, and had been a resident of the home for the past two years. The services were conducted by Bishop Ruben Dotson, with . the Cedar City Elks Lodge par- ??V I I. N. NOLDER ! ticipating. Preliminary music 1 was by Mrs. Phyllis Truman. A j ladies trio, Mrs. Emily Gillins, I Mrs. Ada Edwards and Mrs. j Ileen Gray, sang two numbers, ' "Rock of Ages" and "Prayer I Perfect." Mr. and Mrs. Harold Baker played a violin duet, "Over the Waves," which was an old favorite of Mr. Nolder's. I Mr. Harris of the Cedar City Elks Lodge and Charles K. Jameson Jam-eson were the speakers. Frank D. Williams gave the opening prayer, and Bishop Dotson the benediction. The Cedar City Elks officiated officiat-ed at the grave, conducting the impressive Elks graveside ceremony. cere-mony. Mr. Nolder was born in East ; Elizabeth, Pa., Jan. 25, 1863. His j early life was spent in the vicinity vi-cinity of Pittsburgh, where he' was employed in the sawmills. Later he moved into Pittsburgh, where he was employed in manufacturing man-ufacturing plants. Before the turn of the century he became I a salesman. It was during the long evenings in hotel lobbies, swapping yarns with other traveling trav-eling salesmen, that Mr. Nolder acquired his reputation as a story teller, which, added to his ability as a violinist, was to insure in-sure his popularity at social gatherings thruout his entire life. He could mimic perfectly many dialects. He married Miss Annie Kiddie Kid-die in Pennsylvania. She preceded pre-ceded him in death, in 1920. In 1925 he moved to Minersville, Miners-ville, and in 1926 married Mrs. Amanda Price Pryor. He asv sumed management of the Pryor mercantile establishment and operated it successfully until his retirement in 1945. He is survived by his widow and the following children of his first marriage: Mrs. Isabel Gorman and Mrs. Hazel Blake-ly.
