Show FORMER MILFORD RESDDENTS TO OBSERVE GOLDEN WEDDING Mr. and Mrs. Charles I. Clements, Clem-ents, living happily in retireV ment in Caliente after 50 years of married life, will be honored on Saturday, Nov. 17th, with a family dinner at the home of- a son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Clements, in celebration cel-ebration of their Golden Wed- ding anniversary. On Sunday, Nov. 18, an open house reception will take place at the spacious home of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Phillips. Friends and relatives thruout the intermountain area are expected ex-pected to attend. Mr. Clements was born at Hay Springs, Milford, Utah, on May 28, 1875. He attended the Salt Lake schools, and the Salt Lake Business College. On Nov. 20, 1901, he married Miss Annie Denny at Milford. She was born in St. Louis, Mo., Feb. 9, 1879, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. R. Denny. They moved to Colorado in 1881 and to Milford in 1890, where Miss Annie grew up and attended attend-ed school. Mr. Clements followed railroading rail-roading and mining in Utah and Nevada, and moved to Caliente as an employe of the Union Pacific Pa-cific in 1942, retiring in June of 1946. He is a member of the Caliente chapter of the Brotherhood Brother-hood of Railway Carmen of America.; . . Mr. and-. Mrs. Clements are members of the L D S Church. Mrs. Clements is active in the Relief Society and in the Ladies Auxiliary to the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Of the eight children born to the Clements, five are living: Charles W. Clements of Boul-I der City, Nev.; Mrs. Melvin Moore, Boulder City; Mrs. La-orielle La-orielle Ellison, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Arvella Albright, Carbonado, Carbon-ado, Wash.; and John R. Clements Clem-ents of Caliente. The senior Clements are proud of their 10 grandchildren and six greatgrandchildren. great-grandchildren. All friends residing in this area are invited to the reception Sunday, Nov. 18, from '3 to 7 p. m. |
