Show SCHOOL STARTS AT MILFORD HIGH SCHOOL School officially opened Tuesday, Tues-day, September 5, when the Mil-ford Mil-ford High School students appeared ap-peared in an assembly at 9:00 a. m. The school song was sung (and the students back me when I say it was so peppey!) and four new teachers were introduced. They were Mr. McDermott, music; Mr. Bartholomew, English and Journalism; Jour-nalism; Mr. Moore, Commercial and Social Science; and Mr. Davenport, Dav-enport, Industrial Arts. After assembly, as-sembly, registration took place. Within two weeks of September 5, Mr. Abbott expects the students to be finally settled and well along in their studies (Ha Ha!). Wednesday classes started in spite of the school building looking like an unfinished housing project. proj-ect. The students really didn't mind stepping in a scrub bucket once in a while, or stumbling over a ladder now and then. The plaster plas-ter covered floors didn't faze them either. The students expect that in a couple of weeks the building will be suitable for them to settle down to their studies. Our school has a bigger enrollment enroll-ment this year. The classes are listed in number as follows: Seventh 35 Eighth 37 Ninth 45 Tenth 18 Eleventh 34 Twelfth 17 TOTAL 186 |
