BETH FISHER Home Builder Girls of the Second Ward were honored last Friday night, Aug. 24, by being asked to sing the new Home Builders Song at the Home Builder Holiday held in Milford for girls and their parents from the two Milford wards and Minersville. Min-ersville. There were some 85 persons fathers, mothers, girls and their leaders present. Ma-eel Ma-eel Horton of the Stake Board was in charge of the activities which started off with some group sing-ing led by Beth Morgan, Mor-gan, Stake Primary president. Following the games and stunts refreshments were served to all who were there. Besides the two stake visitors mentioned, Mary Goodwin of the stake board was also present. A number of Primary workers work-ers from the Second Ward, as well as some members of the Priesthood, attended the Stake Primary and Priesthood Leadership Leader-ship meetings in Beaver on Aug. 23. It has been announced that the Primary convention will be held in Beaver on Friday, Sept. 14, at 1:30 p. m. The vsiting Primary leaders will be Ruth Chadwick and Mary Parrish. Primary for Second Ward children will commence again on Monday, Sept. 10, immediately immedi-ately after school. The Milford Second Ward Aaronic Priesthood held a swimming swim-ming party last Friday night under the direction of Kent Hanney, the Aaronic Priesthood coordinator, and Gerald Stoker, Aaronic Priesthood secretary. Aaronic Priesthood boys from the First Ward joined with them. The following men were presented pre-sented and approved at Conference Confer-ence on Aug. 26 to be ordained Elders in the Melchizedek Priesthood: Guy Clark Goodwin, Good-win, Thomas Watkins James, Max Owen Stewart and Ward Paul Thompson. |
