Show JAMES EYRE DIES IN SALT LAKE Jamps W'lliam Eyre, 76. for many years a resident of Min-ersville. Min-ersville. d'ed in a Salt Lake hospital Saturday, Aug. 11th, of causes incident to age. Mr. Eyre was a retired stockman stock-man and farmer. He was born at Minersville Sept. 7, 1874, a son of Edwin and Melvina Myers Eyre. On Oct. 21, 1895, he married Rosella Murdock at James William Eyre Minersville. The marriage was solemnized Sept. 22, 1903, in . the St. George L D S Temple. I Mr. Eyre was active in Sunday Sun-day School activities and the Mutual Improvement Associa- 1 tion, and was a supervisor of block teachers. At the time of h;s death he was a high priest in Forest Dale L D S Ward in I Salt Lake. His wife died April 29, 1951 in Salt Lake City. Survivors include five sons, Irvin W. Eyre, Lansing, Mich.; Theodore M. Eyre, Las Vegas. Nev.; Hartley G. Eyre, Murray, and Hilbert D. and J. Edwin i Eyre of Salt Lake City; two daughters, Mrs. Thurma Brad-lc-y and Mrs. Zelma Smith, Salt Lake City; two brothers, Joseph H. Eyre of Minersville and Jed Eyre of Phoenix, Ariz, and three sisters, Mrs. Pauline Carter of Minersville; Mrs. Martha Walker Walk-er of Murray, and Mrs. Sarah Gillins of North Hollywood, Cal There are 14 grandchildren. Funeral services were con ducted Tuesday in Salt Lake: by Bishop T. Quentin Cannon Burial was in Sunset Lawn Memorial Park. |
