Prizes went to Maude Stoker, Geniel Moore and Billie Stoker. Mrs. Gillins opened many lovely gifts, after which a salad course was served by Mrs. Barnes and Mrs. Jones. RUTH CHAPTER No. 6 celebrated cel-ebrated its 42nd birthday Tuesday Tues-day night at its regular meeting meet-ing in the Masonic Hall. A buf-fet buf-fet supper was served to 45 Snembers and guests at 7 p. m. This was followed by an exciting ex-citing cake walk, with Mrs. I ivCora Altman walking off with :he first prize. .... Mr. and Mrs. ' William Cochrane were espe-' espe-' -dally commended for their 32 .'years of service in the order. -Mrs. Lulu Clay and Mrs. Vena Wilson were next in seniority, -having been members for 28 j -years. Anna Cochrane, Gladys Gos-nill, Gos-nill, Elaine Archer and Fonda Magill had charge of the affair "and once again demonstrated that Ruth Chapter is an ideal hostess, and a source of affec-v affec-v tionate pride to all who are honored by its membership. AN AFTERNOON of fun was enjoyed at the home of Barbara Thompson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Thompson, when she celebrated her 11th birth anniversary on Thursday, June 14th, by Kaye Gribble, Kathleen Kath-leen Loveland, Janet Nay, Jo-Laine Jo-Laine Archer, Marion Lyman, Sheila Coleman, ReNee Norton, Margaret Turner, Iola Young and Harriet Cline. Punch, ice cream and cake were served by Mrs. Thompson in the late afternoon. t. THE ROCKY MOUNTAIN Lodge No. 84 had their social Monday of last week at St. Bridget's Brid-get's Recreation hall. Pinochle, bridge and canasta were played, with the following ladies receiving receiv-ing prizes: At bridge, Mrs. Mary Gribble and Mrs. Helen Leech; at pinochle, Mrs. Smith and Mrs. Patsy Stewart, and Lillian Anderson received the canasta orize. Other members present were Mrs. Joyce Coon, Mrs. LaRee Hollis, Mrs. Shirleen Barnes, Mrs. Ella Edwards, Mrs. Judy Briscoe, Mrs. Lottie Gronning, Mrs. Irene Posey, Mrs. Melba White, Mrs. Eva Stonehocker, and Mrs. Bobbie James. The committee for the evening eve-ning was Mrs. Barnes, Mrs. Anderson, An-derson, Mrs. Briscoe and Mrs. Edwards. CHRISTIE HUTCHINGS and Iola Carter entertained the Past Noble Grand club on Wednesday Wed-nesday of last week, in the Odd Fellows Hall. Present were Vena Wilson, Emma Griffiths, Sadie Griffiths, Susan Glenn, Ada Baxter, Jennie Martin, Bertha Cottrell, Dora Johnson, Lillian Atkin, Elvie Sedgwick, Frances Jefferson, Dora Pool, Hilda O'Leary, and Cree Elmer. A delicious lunch was served. MRS. L. F. KOHLER entertained enter-tained her bridge club Thursday Thurs-day night. Prizes were won by Mrs. Harold Cline, Mrs. Raymond Ray-mond Magill and Mrs. Kohler. Others present were Mrs. A. L. McDonald, Mrs. Kenneth Archer, Mrs. Lovell Crane, Mrs. Bob Schramm and Mrs. Clark Goodwin. FRIDAY, June 8th, Shirl Nichols was four years old. Those who helped him celebrate cele-brate were Kathy Killam, Doug Bedingfield, Beverly Hardy, Gatie Gronning, Adell Griffiths, Grif-fiths, Stephen Miller, Jonell Aagard, Sally Gillis, Joyce and Vickie Grimshaw, Joan Edwards, Ed-wards, Vickie Loveland, Gracie Banks and Delores Banks.
