This practice should be carried on constantly and continuously con-tinuously by every commercial poultryman. "Only those birds wh:,ch produce pro-duce the largest number of eggs and the greatest amount of in- . come above feed and other costs J should be retained." That is the advice offered in a new poultry bulletin published pub-lished by Utah State Agricultural Agricul-tural College Extension Service. Serv-ice. "Selecting for Egg Production, Produc-tion, Past, Present and Future," is title of the bulletin, written by W. R. Jenkins, extension poultryman. It is illustrated with several pictures showing characteristic differences between be-tween layers and non-layers. Single copies of the bulletin, designed to help poultrymen increase their profits, will soon be available free of charge at county extension offices. |
