Clay left Thursday for Salt Lake, to spend two weeks with her daughter, Cor-inne, Cor-inne, and a son at Logan. i MRS. PAULINE RUMMLER was hostess to her pinochle club last Thursday evening. Prizes were won by Mrs. Billie Stoker, high; Mrs. Bobbie James, sec-! sec-! ond high, and Mrs. Jean Thompson, Thomp-son, consolation. Other guests were Mrs. Mary Gribble, Mrs. Lillian Mellor, Mrs. Marjorie Schramm, and Mrs. Carol Stewart. Canteloupe, ice cream and coffee were served to the guests. THE MONDAY NITE Bridge Club met this week at the home of Mrs. Nettie Kirk. Those present pres-ent were Mrs. Mary Williams, Mrs. Asenath Pool, Mrs. Nina Bingham, Mi's. Hattie Hutchings, Mrs. Ethel Nielsen, Mrs. Naoriii Hughes and Mrs. Emma Smith. At bridge, Mrs. Kirk received house prize, Mrs. Nielsen took the prize for high points, Mrs. j Williams received a prize for honors, and Mrs. Pool the consolation. con-solation. THE V F W AUXILIARY to Post 1546 held their regular meeting in the I O O F hall, this week, with Mrs. Norma Walters in the chair. Business of interest inter-est included discussion of a memorial me-morial plaque for World War II veterans, and requesting any persons having pocket editions of magazines, who would like to do so, to contribute the volumes, thru the V F W, to hospitalized veterans. Collections will be made at the F A Stewart Feed Store. MRS. MARIE FOUTZ was honored hon-ored at a surprise birthday party Wednesday afternoon at the home of Mrs. L. C. Clay. A most enjoyable time was had by Mrs. Roy White, Mrs. William Baker, Mrs. Lillian Anderson, Mrs. Sophia Johnson, Mrs. Magdalena White and Mrs. Francis Hollis. A tasty luncheon was served in the late afternoon. : FIVE HUNDRED was played at the home of Mrs. Evelyn Brannon, Wednesday evening, by Phyllis Price, Alice Muir, Jean Hickman, Helen Hickman, Audrey Skillicorn, Lela Gilliam, Margaret Arnold, Carol Voor-hees, Voor-hees, Donna Christensen, Louella Fisher, and Nelouise Schow. Those receiving prizes were Audrey, high; Phyllis, second high, and Helen, the cut prize. Refreshments were served at 11:30. : MRS. JIM VOGT had as her guests Wednesday evening Mrs. James Williams, Mrs. H. V. Carlson, Carl-son, Mrs. A. L. McDonald, Mrs. K. B. Coon, Mrs. Lloyd Kohler, Mrs. Harold Cline, Mrs. Ben Hillman. Bridge was played during dur-ing the evening, with Mrs. Wil liams receiving high prize, Mrs. Vogt, second high, and Mrs. Carlson, third high. A salad course was served after aft-er cards. THE HAPPY COOKERS Corner Cor-ner 4-H Club met at the home of Patricia Gronning on July 12th. Cocoa was demonstrated by Sharon Christensen and Mar-i Mar-i ian Anderson. j Meeting was called to order by ; Sharon Kesler, president, and the minutes read by Jennie Young, secretary.
