Show Of Interest to Women BY PATRICIA WILLIAMS MR. AND MRS. Robert Col-born Col-born and Mr. and Mrs. F. A. Bingham left Monday for Bur-m Bur-m bank, Calif., to visit with their son and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Tine Bingham, and to get acquainted ac-quainted with their new grandson, grand-son, Tine Jay. Mr. and Mrs. F. A. Bingham will also visit Mr. Bingham's six sisters and their families, at Long Beach and Van Nuys. Granetta Whitbeck, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Willis Whitbeck, Whit-beck, underwent an appendectomy appendec-tomy last Monday in the L. D. S. hospital at Salt Lake. A PARTY was held at the home of Mrs. W. G. White, on January 22. Bridge was the entertainment en-tertainment of the evening. Those present were Mrs. Ethel Smith, Mrs. Ethel Nielsen, Mrs. Lesley Clay, Mrs. Norma Walters Wal-ters Mrs. Beryl Crum, Mrs. Wanda Holm, Mrs. Katherine Shingleton, Mrs. May Colborn, Mrs. Lucile Baudino, Mrs. Le-nora Le-nora Lee, Mrs. Nina Burger, Mrs. Louise Delgardo, Mrs. Laura Dearden, Mrs. Agnes Kanard, Mrs Cora Altman, Mrs. Cora Jones, Mrs. Theresa Pitchforth, Mrs. Freda Outzen. A delicious lunch was served at 11 p. m., and a good time was had by all. Prize for high points was won by Wanda Holm, honors by Cora Jones, consolation by Lulu Clay and house prize by Theresa Pitchforth. A SURPRISE bridal shower was given in honor of Mrs. Bonnie Bon-nie Lee Isielson by Mrs. Colleen Moore and Mrs. Maudell Crane at the home of Mrs. Moore, last Monday evening. Cootie was the evening's entertainment, en-tertainment, with the following winning prizes: Jerry Lyman, high, and Barbara Stoker, consolation. con-solation. At 11 o'clock a luncheon was served by the co-hostesses, after which Mrs. Nielson opened her lovely gifts, presented by Miss Mary Jiminez, Miss Charlene Nichols, Miss Sylvia Voorhees, Miss Madelyn Kohler, Miss Pat Turner, Miss Jerry Lyman, Miss Idonna Denny, Miss Barbara Stoker, Mrs. Beverly Trimble and Miss Shirlene Barnes. Week-end guests of Mrs. Vic Carlson were Mrs. David Cop-pock Cop-pock of Craig, Colo., Mrs. George O. Scarfe of Park City, and Mrs. Lee L. Pitchforth of Salt Lake. Old friends for many years, it has been several years since the group "got together" and the visits vis-its were enjoyed by all. Agnes Kanard visiting for a few days the past week at the home of Mrs. Laura Dearden. Mrs. Kanard is a former Milford j resident. |
