Show MILFORD WAR VETS TO BE LISTED ON NATIONAL V. F. W. HONOR ROLL In tribute to the memory of servicemen of Milford wh made the supreme sacrifice, and in recognition of the loyal' and patriotism of the living- who served in the foreign war:-of war:-of the nation, the names and war service records of loca servicemen and women will be enrolled on the permanent Nat.onal Roll of Honor at Washington Cathedral by the Esc- lante Post No. 1546, Veterans of Foreign Wars, it was an I nounced by G. W. Murdock, Post Commander Adoption of the plan by the Milford war veterans was confirmed con-firmed by F. B. Grimes, Post Adjutant, who stated, "all mem bers of the post are expected to participate in the privilege of memorializing the names and service records of the wad-dead , of the recent and all past wars, and of preserving those of the living, in thanksgiving for their safe return." A War Memorial Chapel, as "a national shrine of each pat riot's devotion," where the per manent National Roll of Honor will be enshrined, is proposed ns part of the cathedral structure. Prior to the war the foundation of the transept in which the War Memorial Chapel will be built, was constructed at an expenditure ex-penditure of $375,000. Canon Williams, chaplain of Ihe Washington, D. C, VFW department, de-partment, a veteran of boll; World Wars and former chaplain of the war-lost aircraft carrier Wasp, chairman of the National War Memorial Committee, stated, stat-ed, "The final design of the cathedral ca-thedral a house of prayer for all people is such as to provide all the features of a worlhyme-morial worlhyme-morial dignity, permanenco. usefulness, national religious significance sig-nificance and exceptional beauty. The privilege of enrolling names and records of the dead and also the living who returned safely is open to all and is not contingent contin-gent upon any consideration other than the wish of the veteran vet-eran or next of kin.
