Show Wildlife babes not fair game Wildlife babes of the woods and wilds are not fair game for adoption even though these infant creatures may appear lost and forlorn when found in the outdoors. Division of Fish and Game officials listed this adoption of wild game babies as an annual problem and assured concerned humans that apparently lost fawn deer and other wildlife youngsters have not been abondonded by their parents. Adult animals are naturally spooky and reluctant to show themselves to humans, and they will stand helplessley nearby as will stand helplessly nearby as away by people who find them cute and cuddly. Adoption usually lasts only a few weeks and then the fun and novelty of the new pet is soon gone. Turned loose, these pets of man are unable to take care of themselves and have no future in the outdoor world. The young of Utah wildlife species are protected by law and possession of any protected animal or bird is unlawful except ex-cept during the respective hunting hun-ting season in accordance with the rules of that season. |
