Show Mammoth parade planned here I for Art City Days celebration Rampton, who will be "Marshal of the Day." will be in the parade. pa-rade. Many other activites will be held throughout the three-day celebration scheduled June 12, -3, and 14. Queen contest for Miss Springville will be the night of June 10; Artists of Life Banquet will be held June 12; old car show will be fea-tuied; fea-tuied; an outstanding 3-act comedy will be held Wednesday through Saturday in the Civic Center Arena Theatre as part of the celebration and there will be steak fries, chuck wagon wa-gon breakfast and carnval activities ac-tivities for all ages to enjoy. General chairman is Leonard James of the city council. y Plans are progressing for an I outstanding Art City Days parade pa-rade according to parade chair- "S man Waldo Jacobson. The big ;M highlight of the celebration ' will be held on Springville's j Main Street June 14 at 10 2 am- if Over 100 entries are expec-r expec-r ted in the big parade with floats being built locally by each of the wards in Spring- ville and Mapleton along with 5 j floats entered by businesses. 1 clubs and organizations. Nenr- by cities will also be entering - floats in the parade. Included in the parade will be at least eight top bands with the anticipation of having 5; the Tooele High School Band induced. The Tooele group pav-' pav-' ticipated in the Rose Parade in Pasadena on New Year's Day. Other bands will include ithe local band, the Spanish Fork High, Payson, Carbon. Orem and Pleasant Grove High bands. Anyone desiring to enter a , float in the parade is asked to I do so and may get further information in-formation from parade chairman chair-man Jacobson.
