Show I Bill North LeeAnn Cakley Junior High "Citizens of the Week' Two Springville Junior High students were chosen to be "Citizens of the Week" April 14-18. They are Bill North and leeAnn Oakley. Both of them arc ninth grade students. Bill North Bill North is a son of Mr. and Mrs . Calvin North of Springville. Bill was born August Au-gust 6, 1954. He has two brothers bro-thers and one sister. Among his varied interests are hunting, baseball, football and basketball. basket-ball. He has played first base for Center Service the last two years in Pony League. Las fall he played end on the Jaycees Football Team in the Youth Football League. He plays basketball bas-ketball this winter with his many friends and the quality she likes best in these friends i." sincerity. Laws alone can't solve our nation's social ills. Their resolution reso-lution depends upon all of us. May first is Law Day USA. Uphold the law and the rights of others. May first is Law Day USA. It is a time for Americans to redidicate themselves to "the ideals of equality and justice under the law." Do your part. Our own experience is that time, when allowed to work, will solve many problems. Explorer group. He is active in the LDS Church. An outstanding out-standing thing happened to Bill this spring. His family toured Southern and Northern California Calif-ornia in talking with Billy about this vacation, he seemed very impressed with the things he saw. He stated that Disneyland Disney-land was exciting and in San Frarciscc the hippies had gone to Pocatello. Billv is a very outstanding student, and does well in his classes. He especially espec-ially enjoys two classes, science and geography because he likes to learn about things of ihe past that men have created scientifically and also he is interested in-terested in other countries and their people. He enjoys gym because be-cause he is athletically talented. Lee Ann Oakley Lee Ann Oakley is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Hurst ef Mapleton. She was born March 29, 1954 and has three brothers and one sister. Lee Ann has many varied interests. in-terests. She is musically talented. talent-ed. She has ' played the piano for three years. She enjoys skiing, ski-ing, basketball, and '.'most sports. Last fall, she was a cheerleader for the Rotary Football Team. She also likes to draw and sew. She is an active ac-tive member of the LDS Church and is secretary of her Sunday School class. In the MIA organization she is a first year Mia Maid. In school, she is very well liked and respected respec-ted by both students and teachers. tea-chers. She states that all her classes are her favorites, but she especially enjoys type and sewing because she can work with hei hands and be creative. She is an A student. Lee Ann is looking forward to entering Springville High School as a sophomore next fall. She has |
