Show League extends welcome to Monday meeting Theron H. Luke, well known journalist and Utah historian, will b? the featured speaker for the February meeting of Utah Valley Chapter, League of Utah Writers meeting Monday, Mon-day, February 17. The meeting will be at 7 p.m. in the Provo City Library. Mr. Luke will present "Researching "Re-searching the Utah Story." He will provide specific help to writers desiring to write of Utah's past to enable them to enter the Sam W. Taylor writing writ-ing contest for league members. Mr. Taylor, a successful writer of Utah, is this year sponsoring a regional contest to encourage Utah authors to portray the life, people and personality of this area. Mr. Luke is an avid historian with particular interest in the Utah scene, and is a member of the board of directors of the Utah Historical Society and author au-thor of "The Life and Times of TNT." He is presently city ed'tor at the Daily Herald where he has worked since 1945. A discussion period will follow fol-low the talk and research questions ques-tions will be invited.
