Funeral today, 1 p.m., for James Spalding Funeral services will be held today (Tuesday) at 1 p.m. at the Wheeler Mortuary directed by Bishop Ben Killpack of the Seventh Ward for James Morley Mor-ley Spanlding, 23, of Salt Lake City. Mr. Spalding died on November 21, 1968, at his home from a gunshot wound. Friends and relatives may call at the mortuary prior to the services today. Burial will be in the American Fork City Cemetery. He was born in American Fork, August 5, 1945 to David Victor and Maude Morley Spalding. He attended schools here and graduated from the Springville High School. He spent one year in Vancouver, Washington. He was a member of the Utah National Guard. He married Alta McClain, October Oc-tober 16, 1967 in Spanish Fork. He was employed with United Plumbing in Salt Lake City at the time of his death. He was a member of the LDS Church. He is survived by his wife of Salt Lake City and his mother of Springville and the following brothers and sisters: David Robert, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Jack S. (Faye) Smith, Tooele; Mrs. Steven (Jone) Novako-vich, Novako-vich, Anchorage, Alaska; Mrs. Wayne (Patricia) Johnson, Tooele; Mrs. Bruce (Linda) Gammon, Provo. The average housewife washes wash-es two and one-half million cooking and eating utensils during her married lifetime enough for 70 stacks as tall as the Empire State Building. |
