Show Cornell Bissell succumbs; burial held here Funeral services were held in Idaho and short services at the Berg Mortuary here, Monday, j for Ivan Cornell (Cob) Bissell, !j 41. Boise, Idaho, former Spring- !, ville resident, who died Novem ber 21, 1968 in the St. Alphon-jl Alphon-jl us Hospital in Boise after a brief illness. ; Burial was In the Springville ji Evergreen Cemetery under the j direction of Berg Mortuary. Full military rites were accord-, accord-, ed under the direction of the American Legion Post 28. Bishop Lawrence Lynn of the Fifth Ward was in charge of i the services here, j He was born October 1, 1927, in Spanish Fork to Ivan and Thelma Bingham Bissell. i He married LaRae McPher- j son in Springville on March 19, 1948. Mr. Bissell was a graduate of Springville High School and attended at-tended the Brigham Young University, graduating in 1953. A veteran of World War n, he served with the U.S. Army Infantry for one year during j the war in the Asiatic Pacific ! Theatre. After graduating from college col-lege he was employed by Stre-viUe Stre-viUe Patterson for ten years. In September of 1964, he began be-gan working for the Idaho i First National Bank Head Of- fice at Boise, Idaho, and be- I came a vice president of that i firm in January of 1966. Mr. Bissell was a member of the LDS Church. He was a member of the Ki-wanis Ki-wanis Club. Survivors include his widow and two sons and one daughter: daugh-ter: John C. Bissell, Kim D. Bissell and Keri Bissell all of ; 1 Boise, Idaho. ' Only one out of three Chile ans lives in a rural area. |
