Show Opera opens at BYU Monday Leading public officials, celebrities cel-ebrities and patrons of the arts in Utah will attend the gala performance of the opera "Andrea "An-drea Chenier" when it opens Monday, November 11 in Brig-ham Brig-ham Young University's de Jong Concert Hall. The BYU Opera Workshop's production of Umberto Giordano's Gior-dano's fine 19th century opera during the week of November 11-16 will mark one of the rare occasions this opera has been seen in Utah. It has, however, been played 44 times in 13 seasons by the Metropolitan Opera Company in New York. The production will feature a cast of S5 supported by the BYU Symphony. The six student stu-dent lenrl will bp rlnnhled with capture the atmosphere of Revolutionary France have been designed by Prof. Charles Henson. Other costumes are being created in the BYU Costume Cos-tume Shop by Beverly Warner.
