Show City council sets Art City Days for 1969, considers other items Springville City set up tentative tenta-tive dates for Art City Days of 1969 for June 12, 13 and 14 and renamed Councilman Leonard Leon-ard James as chairman. Mr. James has successfully chair-maned chair-maned the initial celebration last year and headed this year's outstanding event. The action was taken at the Monday night city council meeting at which all council members, the city recorder re-corder and attorney were present. pre-sent. Other business handled at the meeting included a request from Hal Burrows, athletic director of Kolob Stake to have the city owned ball diamond by the stake house fenced. Blaine Ostler and Arnold Brown met and discussed the problems of the narrow roadway road-way in front of their properties proper-ties (east of Fourth East and Fourth North.) No action was taken pending further study by CI. Child and Streets Superintendent Superin-tendent Carl Curtis. James Baker was assured that action would be taken to maintain his water connection. A resolution adopting the 1968-69 budget as prepared and on file in the city office was passed and a motion carried that the Mayor and City Recorder Re-corder be authorized to execute the agreement with HUD (United (Uni-ted States Department of Housing Hous-ing and Urban Development which provides financial grants for improving water and sewer facilities of cities). |
