Councilman Child, the supt. of streets and Earl Hal-verson Hal-verson are to schedule a meeting meet-ing to discuss the best methods and correct areas. Kenneth Long and Robert Frazier also met with the council, concerning a water line to their canyon lots near the golf course. Engineer John Neff and Supt. of Water Mc-Hilton Mc-Hilton Roberts will study the matter and report back to the water committee. Police Chief Ashley Graharr attended the meeting in regard to a request made by the National Na-tional Guard to conduct a mock riot in Springville. No actior was taken pending further study stu-dy of the matter. Jack Windley, supt. of parks and public property met with the Springville City Council at the regular meeting, Monday, Sept. 18, to discuss the recommendation rec-ommendation of the city beautification beau-tification committee in planting plant-ing roses along the fence line at the Jefferson School. He said the school board would participate par-ticipate $100. He was instructed instruc-ted to check out the complete cost including the water piping and report back to the council. Earl Halverson, Robert Huntington Hun-tington and Finley Roylance of the Brookside Sub-division met with the council and presented a petition signed by 140 of the 160 families in Brookside. The petition was requesting the city to place dips in the road |
