Orton i of this city became the bride i: of Eric C. Showgren, son of Mrs. Phyllis Showgren, also of Springville and the late Eric C. Showgren, in early June 1 rites. The ceremony took place in the Salt Lake Temple and 1 the couple honeymooned in Colorado and Southern Utah. A reception in their honor was hosted by the bride's parents, par-ents, in the Third-Ninth Ward, in the evening after their mar-riage. mar-riage. ,. The bride was attired in a '! white linen-satin gown with re-embroidered re-embroidered lace appliques at j the neck and on the bell-shap- ed sleeves. A chapel train fell ' from the slightly raised waist- line. Her veil of silk illusion !i was arranged to a crown of seed-pearls and she carried a bridal bouquet of gardenias with yellow carnations. Mrs. Carol Gregson was matron ma-tron of honor and bridesmaids were Janet Hill, Kathy Veach, Barbara Wellington, Mary Lou Cottam and junior bridesmaids, Lori Ann and Lea Jean Cottam. George Hawkins was best man. The attendants were attired in peach-colored formals with deeper peach bows and held tiny yellow baskets filled with white daisies. Mrs. Orton chose a turquoise linen formal for her daughter's wedding and Mrs. Showgren, a yellow linen formal jacket dress. Their corsages were white gardenias and yellow carnations. car-nations. Mr. and Mrs. H. LaMar Weight and Mr. and Mrs. Lester Les-ter Cottam greeted guests at the door, while Pete, Eric and John Orton, brothers of the bride, and Lynn Diamond were ushers.
