Show Liquor store burglary, vandalism ads solved With the arrest of eight Springville boys, six of them juveniles, burglary of the State Liquor Store some time ago and more recent vandalism, are believed solved, according to Police Chief Ashley Graham. Springville police off icers have all worked on the liquor store burglary since it took place May 23. A total of 144 pints and 12 fifths 0 liquor were reported taken at the time. Officers have since interviewed inter-viewed a large number ofj youths, resulting in the apprehension appre-hension of four juveniles, 15 to 17 years old. They have been referred to the juvenile court. Vandalism Four other boys have been apprehended in connection with the pouring of acid on lawna and shrubs at the home of Charles Cummins, 336 Sage Creek Circle and the property of John Hafen, 942 So. Sage Creek Circle. Mr, Cummins is high school vice principal and Mr. Hafen is a teacher. Police said the battery acid had been stolen from the Anderson An-derson Implement Co., 300 No. Main and then poured on the lawns and shrubs. Two of the boys of juvenile age were referred to the juvenile ju-venile court and names of the other two, over 18 years old, would be withheld until City Attorney Sumsion is consulted regarding complaints against them. |
