Show REX TRIPP RENAMED RECREATION BOARD HEAD Salt Lake County may have to trim its recreation program during dur-ing the coming year in order to take care of Salt Lake City's program. So decided members of the Salt Lake County Recreation Board during their January meet ing held Tuesday in the County Commission chambers. Board members noted that their 1955 budget request had been cut approximately $25,000 from the requested $438,000. They said this cut would necessitate neces-sitate budget cuts all along the line, including the Salt Lake City program. In other action, the board also approved bills and claims totaling total-ing $3,117.23 to Jan. 4, 1955. The board also voted to continue con-tinue as constituted with Rex T. Tripp of Bingham Canyon as board chairman. Board members also voted to take applications for employment employ-ment in the combined city-county recreation program. They anticipated an-ticipated that majority of the-applications the-applications would come from city employes engaged in the city's recreation program. Board members announced that application appli-cation blanks could be obtained from the board's offices in Murray. Mur-ray. The board also considered a proposed reorganization of the county's recreation staff, but postponed definite action on the proposal. The recommended changes were submitted by Paul S.
