MINERS PLAY MURRAY HERET0N1GHT The Bingham High - Murray High basketball game scheduled I Friday, January 7th (tonight), w ill be played at Copperton instead in-stead of at Murray as previously announced. First game is at 6:30 p.m. followed by the main contest con-test at 8:00 p.m. A good contest is expected, so be sure and attend. at-tend. For their third league encounter encoun-ter dated for Tuesday, January 11, the Miners will have Tooele as their opponents. This game will also be played at Copper-ton. Copper-ton. In the league opener Tuesday night, the Miners lost a thriller to Cyprus 60 to 57. First quarter ended 17 to 13 for Bingham while at halftime the Miners stretched their lead to 31 to 24. At the end of third quarter the score read 45 to 44 for Cyprus. Final outcome was Cyo,ns 60, Bingham 57. High scorer for the evening was Jack Mannion who scored 25 points. In other Jordan division openers, op-eners, Murray defeated Grants-ville Grants-ville 50 to 35 and Judge Memorial Mem-orial beat Dugway (a newcomer to the league) 61 to 38. o |
