The wedding was an event of Oct. 14, taking place in church rites in the Fourth-Tenth LDS Ward. Lynn C. Hanks, former bishop of the Second Ward, performed the ceremony, in the presence of immediate family members and close friends. Preceding Pre-ceding the marriage, Vera Zo-bell Zo-bell sang, "I Love You Truly," and in closing, sang, "Because." A reception followed the wedding, wed-ding, at the church, where a large number of friends and relatives c o n g r atulated the newlyweds. The bride was attractively gowned in slipper satin with scoop neckline, floor-length skirts with a train and a long-lace long-lace jacket. Her elbow-length veil of illusion fell from a tiar-ra tiar-ra of rhinestones and she carried car-ried a bouquet consisting of white gardenias surrounded with rust and orange carnations carna-tions to set the autumn color theme for the reception. Attendants to the bride were Linda Gabbitas, Colleen Fullmer, Full-mer, Cathy Brown, Karen Can-field, Can-field, Nancy Zobell and Becky McFarlane. They wore gowns in autumn colors of orange, gold and brown with metallic collars and cuffs, accented by miniature corsages in autumn shades. Greeting guests at the reception recep-tion were Mr. and Mrs. Gary Gabbitas and Mr. and Mrs. Kent Gabbitas, while Jerry Syndergaard and Bob Clark were ushers. At the guest register were Sandy and Brenda Braithwaite. Mrs. Leo Cox and Mrs. Lenard Zobell were in the gift room. Serving were Marian Zobell, Marsha and Carma Braithwaite. A beautiful wedding cake, 3-tiered, 3-tiered, with lacy hearts and orange and yellow rose bud trim, was topped with a miniature min-iature bride and groom. The couple left shortly after the reception to make their home in Salt Lake City. |
