Show Youths 14 may obtain license Under Utah law, a juvenile may purchase his first license to hunt upon reaching the age of 14 and after successfully passing a required course in hunter safety training. Through ages 14 and 15, he may hunt only game birds during dur-ing the open seasons. He must at all times while hunting during dur-ing this period, be accompanied by a person 21 years of age or older. Federal law does not require the possession of a Federal Migratory Mi-gratory Bird Hunting Stamp until a person reaches the age of 16, so 14 through 15 years old they need only purchase the $2 bird license. They must abide by all other regulations as listed in the waterfowl proclamation. proc-lamation.
