Show Local youths in car mishap One person was hospitalized following an accident Sunday night in Hobble Creek Canyon in which nine persons, five from Springville and Mapleton, suffered cuts and bruises. Most seriously injured was Barbara Smith, 17, Orem. Investigating officers of the ! Utah Highway Patrol and the Springville Police Department said the accident occurred nine miles east of Springville when two cars collided on a slick road during a rainstorm. One car was driven by W. F. Smith, 48, of Orem, and the other by Stephen M. Johnson, 18, of Sprinigville.
