Show Upland game season opens September 24 Seasons on five species of upland game birds will open at daybreak on September 24 and season lengths and bag limits for these birds have now been set by the Utah Fish and Game Commission. Meeting in Salt Lake City last week, the Commission set a long season of September 24 to January 15 for chukar and Hungarian partridge on a statewide basis. Each of these two birds has a bag limit of 5 and a possession limit of 10. Shooting hours are set as daylight day-light hours. In passing on the 1966 grouse hunt, the Commission set a season of September 24 through October 21 on ruffed and blue grouse with bag and possession limits being 4 and 8 respectively.
