Show Mapleton News Mrs. Blake Everett Mrs. Naomi Parkins and family .were pleasantly surprised sur-prised last week with a visit from her son, Keith Pulsipher and his friend, Andy Loos. They were on their way to Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma Ok-lahoma City. He also visited his sisters, Mrs. Carol Perkins and family and Mrs. Maurine Canto and family of Springviiie. Spring-viiie. Keith's family lives at Tacoma, Washington. His wife is the former Sharon Dodson. They have three children. During October, Keith spent a few hours in Hawaii while flying a routine mission, and he met his brother, Billy, who is in the navy and was on his way to Viet Nam. They had dinner together, and enjoyed a few hours visit. Billy's wife and family live at Long Beach, California. Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Bird received word that their son, Wendell, won first place in a hair cutting contest at Concord, Con-cord, Calif., recently. Wendell has his own beauty shop in Concord. He and his wife and children, Wendy and Gary, have lived in Concord for several sev-eral years. The Mapleton Firemen's Auxiliary held their monthly meeting, November 9, 1965, at the Mountain Valley Inn with 14 members present. President Lois Graves conducted matters of business. Secretary Donna Bleggi read the minutes. Election of new officers was held. They are as follows: president, pres-ident, Janet Carnesecca; vice president, Elaine Mason; secretary-treasurer, Elaine Mason; historian and reporter, Neola Steiner. The annual Christmas party with husbands will be held Thursday, December 16, 1965 at Oak Crest Inn. Camp Union DTJP will be held Thursday evening at the home of Lenore Bills. Beth Bird was hostess to hei bridge club last week. This is a group of Spanish Fork friends who have held parties together for over twenty years |
