Show Senior Citizens plan trip, purchase loom Springville Senior Citizens have undertaken a new project pro-ject which is proving popular with quite a large group. They recently purchased a rug loom which is stationed in the basement base-ment of Memorial Hall and the women are learning to weave rugs. Use of the loom is free to senior citizen members but those who weave pay for the warp used in their rug. Some beautiful woven rugs have already been made by the women, who are learning more of the art as they practice each week. A professional weaver gave the women initial instruction. Rug weaving is but one phase of handiwork and entertainment enter-tainment provided by the Senior Sen-ior Citizen program. Many women wo-men are interested in ceramics, while others spend the time reading, playing cards or bingo bin-go and visiting. The men enjoy en-joy shuffle board, cards, rock cutting and polishing during the week.
