Show Can you fop this fishing story? Many a fish story is told, and many an interesting one too, but the one related by Lorus Evans concerning a catch made by his 83 year old father-in-law is worth repeating. repeat-ing. It all happened when Mr. and Mrs. Evans and Mrs. Evan's Ev-an's father, George Y. Mitchell of Spanish Fork, went nigger fishing at Schofield last Friday Fri-day afternoon. It was around three or four o'clock in the afternoon when Mr. Mitchell told his son-in-law that he had a big catch on his line, and it was probably a lot of moss or some other debree. However, when he reeled in the catch, he found he had two fish on the line. The unbelievable thing i.bout it was the fact that lie had only one hook. When the two men inally got the fish within netting distance of the boat, they found that the closer clos-er fish to them was caught by a perfect half-hitch around its lower jaw, while the other fish was solidly snagged with the hook. Both fish weighed in at between a pound and a pound and a quarter, they stated. This is the second year that Mr. Mitchell has been fishing and it proved quite a thrilling experience. All three fishermen got their limits. |
