Show Services held here for Floyd Stewart Funeral services were held Wednesday in the Second-Eighth Second-Eighth Ward Chapel, for Floyd LeVar Stewart, 64, who died Sunday, Oct. 4, 1964, at the family residence, 700 South Mam, following a long illness. Bishop Morgan Thomas of the Second Ward, was in charge. Burial was in the Evergreen Cemetery, drected by Wheeler Mortuary. Mr. Stewart was born in Mona, May 20, 1900, a son of Uel LeVar and Jane Pace Stewart. He came to Springville as a small child with his parents and had made his home here since. For 34 years, he was associated with the Springville Floral Co., retiring in 1959, due to ill-health. He was an elder in the LDS Church. He married Bertha Williams of Spanish Fork, June 26, 1921, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple, and they were later divorced. He married Mary Curtis, April Ap-ril 13, 1943, in Las Vegas, Nev. Surviving are his wife and ten children: Floyd W., Alan R. and Howard Stewart, of Springville; Mrs. Kay (Jean) Bills, Mapleton; Mrs. Willie (Ruth) Sorensen, Murray and Jay E. Stewart of Omaha, Nebraska, Ne-braska, by the first marriage and Juanita, Curtis, Christine and Jim Stewart by the second; sec-ond; also 14 grandchildren and a brother and a sister, Dean Stewart and Mrs. O. J. (Wanda) (Wan-da) Peay of Springville. |
