Show Reception honors couple after Salt Lake Temple wedding Lovely in every detail was the wedding reception for new-lyweds, new-lyweds, Mr. and Mrs. Alan Reed held September 10, in the Third-Ninth Ward Church. The young couple recited marriage mar-riage vows earlier in the day in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. The charming young bride is the former Miss JoAnn Duncan, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard M. Conover of Springville. The groom's parents par-ents are Mr. and Mrs. Ralph W. Reed of Reno, Nevada. For her wedding attire, the bride chose an imported all-lace all-lace over taffeta designed with full tierred, lace-paneled, skirt, long tapered sleeves and scalloped scal-loped neckline. Her veil of illusion il-lusion was arranged to a rose headpiece of illusion falling shoulder-length. She carried a bridal bouquet of blue gladioli glad-ioli encircling a large white mum and sprays of ivy. Bridesmaids Gerry Duncan, Kathy Basso, Beverly Lowe, Jeanine Tilton, Brenda Anderson, Ander-son, Dyanne Law and Lisa Reed, junior bridesmaids, also Carma Duncan as maron of honor, were all gowned in blue empire ankle-length sheaths and held a large white mum from which was a spray of ivy and tiny white carnations. Little Sheryl Duncan, simiarly dressed, was flower girl. Best man to the groom was Charles Basso. Parents of the couple assisted assist-ed in the reception of guests, Mrs. Conover choosing an apricot ap-ricot floral for her daughter's reception and Mrs. Reed, blue lace. Their flowers were white gladioli. Greeting guests at the door were Mr. and Mrs. Cece Ferguson, Fer-guson, Mr. and Mrs. Martin Reed, while Diane Gilles and April Alvey were at the guest register. In the gift room were Carol Reed, Bertha Conover, Gloria Sargent and Alta Lemmon. A beautiful 3-layered cake decorated with Grecian pillars, "- - ; I - V . i : i ' , . I blue rosebuds and a wind stairway to a miniature temple on top, graced the serving u. ble. Assisting with the serviit were Mary Ann Robbtas, Barbara Bar-bara Robbins, Karen Reed, Nancy Reed, Jeannette Jensen, Carol Webb, Linda Haymont Pam Allen and Kathy Peay. The couple spent a few days honeymooning in northern Utah and are now at home il Provo, where Alan will continue con-tinue schooling as a fifth year professional electrical engin-ing engin-ing student at BYU.
