Show WiA Hops aumd Dtosaiinnis Once barren desolate land with no one to enjoy its beauty and splendor but the animals who have inhabited the area for centuries will now have to share its brilliance and uniqueness with humans. Settlers have arrived in this area and it looks like they're all here to stay. Optimistic that the settlement set-tlement will grow and flourish, a newspaper is already planning on establishing itself here, the Iron County Record, and it has visions of being here for a long time to record the changes and the people. The future is looking very bright for these pioneers. With each new day more people with high hopes and dreams come into this small Cedar settlement looking for a place to begin building their hopes and dreams into realities. We believe wholeheartedly in these hard working individuals and also in the dreams they've brought with them. We feel that it is only a matter of time before these great people with strong backbones and a will equally as strong, build Cedar City into a strong prosperous town. We predict that settlers will build this area with their hands and hearts into a community of enterprising en-terprising industry. We also believe that one day the people of this area will provide great educational opportunities for its people. Teaching the children of tomorrow the wisdom of what we learn today will give them the strength and courage to make their dreams and goals come true as well. We predict that it is only a matter of time before Cedar not only become a permanent etching on the map, but also that the names of individuals from Cedar will be heard all around the world as well. It is our feeling that great individuals exhibiting strength and courage will make Cedar City into a thriving community that will some day grow to great heights. We predict that Cedar City will also become a great cultural center for the territory, that some day people from all over the country will hear and talk about events that take place here. We've only begun, but it's only a matter of time before this great empty land sprouts buildings and industrial centers in unison with vegetables, barely and oats. We predict that both the farmer and the businessman will thrive by working together, by depending on each rather than competing against each other. We predict a bright future for Cedar City in i.he remainder of the 19th century and into the 20th and 21st centuries. With strong, determined people and the great land which they now possess, how can anything else be the truth? |
