The planter-medium would be about 18 inches high and would contain schrubs, flowers and possibly trees, Funston explained. However, before construction on the planter-medium begins, the Committee will further discuss the proposal with the Cedar City downtown redevelopment architect to make sure the planter coincides with redevelopment plans. If all goes as planned, the first planter-medium will be installed by the first of June, said Funston. "This planter-medium is a community work project. Funding will come from individual citizens of the community and will be a gift from Cedar City residents to Cedar City," Funston pointed out. The Committee also set plans for the spring clean-up and beautification kick-off scheduled to begin April 1. In conjunction with the |
